Tala Hershey

Hi! I’m Tala Hershey, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) based in Lower Westchester, New York. I am licensed in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida for therapy services. Additionally, I am a Speech & Language Coach and CEO of Hershey Speech and Language Coaching. I have experience treating both children and adults with a variety of communication difficulties in private practice and school settings. I am also the President of the Westchester Speech Hearing and Language Association. The types of therapy I provide include early intervention, articulation and phonology, expressive and receptive language, social communication, language-based reading and writing, voice, myofunctional swallowing, and stuttering/fluency.

Additionally, I provide speech therapy focused parent-coaching sessions to empower parents to bring speech therapy into the home. With the right tools and knowledge, every parent can help their kids improve their speech and language skills.

I received my B.S. from Skidmore College as a psychology and music (vocal performance) double major and my M.S. from New York University in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Additionally, I have certifications and trainings in PROMPT therapy, Sounds In Motion, and DIR-Floortime.

Successful therapy is based on a client-centered, collaborative approach. I work with parents, caregivers, spouses, educators, and other therapists to ensure carryover and generalization of techniques. Collaboration and family education is an integral part of successful therapy. My goal is to help each client reach their highest potential.

When I'm not in work mode, I'm a mom to two hilarious little boys in White Plains. We love going to parks, baking, and singing songs.

Let’s Work together!
