JESSICA GRIFFIN

Hi, my name is Jessica Griffin, M.S. CCC-SLP. I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) licensed SLP and feeding specialist in New Jersey and New York with experience treating children as well as adults with a variety of communication and feeding difficulties in the pediatric hospital and private practice settings. I have a passion for helping people of all ages to obtain their highest level of functioning in speech, language, and feeding/swallowing skills. My specialized training areas include early intervention, receptive and expressive language, articulation and phonology, apraxia, fluency, voice, cognitive rehabilitation, behavioral feeding, medically fragile feeding, tube weaning, tethered oral tissues, and neurodevelopmental disorders. I received my B.A. from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Communication Sciences & Disorders with a minor in Psychology and my M.S. from New York University (NYU) in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I have been working with clients and families on improving communication skills for almost a decade, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I currently work full-time at a children’s hospital in New Jersey providing outpatient therapy for children from birth to 21 years old with complex medical cases and speech and language needs. My mission is to work with my patients and their families to establish functional skills to improve overall safety and ability to participate in all activities of daily living. Parent training is a huge piece of my therapy, and I strive to help turn all of my patients’ parents into “mini-SLPs” to help growth happen more quickly and to sustain that growth for years to come. In my spare time, I live in Westchester with my family and our incredibly cute cat, Pepper. I love to spin, do yoga, sing, and cook for my family and friends.
