Tala's Tip: Blow Bubbles!
You would be amazed at how many language targets there are and just how much language can be modeled for your little one with just one small container of bubbles. To start, your little one has to request to get the bubbles. Model: give me, I want _____. While you're blowing bubbles, you can model: open, dip, in, out, drip, blow, pop, shut. Take turns! Model: my turn, your turn. This will not only teach language, but will also teach turn-taking, patience, eye contact, attention, and a variety of social rules. With just one dollar store purchase that your little one is undoubtedly mesmerized by, you can help to improve so many aspects of their language skills! Get playing!
